Preparations for our annual PNG Fashion & Design Week Runway, are underway with June-July seeing the profiling and training of our models. Since 2016, our platform, the PNG Fashion and Design Week Limited, has been training and mentoring young people to become professional models. We have trained over 300 models and continue to look for young aspiring Papua New Guineans who have what it takes to be part of our model team.

This year based on our theme 2023 Fashion for peace, our selection criteria was based on 3 core values of honesty, obedience(complied to application processes) and good character. As we believe beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and is skin deep.

The team at PNGFNDW has completed the audition selection and notified successful model applicants. We have also invited our experienced and consistent models back with us to walk for our 2023 Fashion for Peace Runway.

Here are some snaps from the model profiling over the weekend. The selected models got to meet and greet and did a profile shoot with our official photographer PIKSA Papua New Guinea.
