Who we are

PNG Fashion & Design Week Limited (PNGFDW) is a nationally owned not-for-profit organization focusing on providing innovative platforms to support the development and growth of the fledging fashion and design industry in PNG and the broader Cultural and Creative Industries.

Launched in 2016 with a mission to showcase Papua New Guinea’s culturally inspired fashion and designs, PNGFDW Ltd has grown to become PNG’s leading fashion design platform strengthening efforts to increase the sector’s value and potential as a driver of socio-economic growth.

Since 2016, we have seen excellent growth in the Fashion and Design industry which has been extremely encouraging for the platform. This success has occurred as a result of consistent engagement with the industry stakeholders, and facilitation of development activities to build capacity and capability of our industry as a whole.

The most successful accomplishment has been the establishment and ongoing delivery of the annual training workshops for models and designers and annual runway shows. These programs have enabled PNG Fashion & Design Week Ltd to work closely with the industry, including recognized local and international industry professionals to provide peer to peer support, technical advisory, networking, and partnership to drive our objectives.
